BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Common questions.

View all 23 questions
How does YEPZI compare with traditional vending and open micro markets?

YEPZI combines open-shelf shopping with controlled cabinet access in a compact format. It is a useful option when you want a broader assortment and multi-item baskets within a limited footprint. Traditional vending and open micro markets also have their place. The right choice depends on traffic, space, product mix, and how your team stocks and services the location.

What products can I sell?

Common assortments include beverages, snacks, and packaged foods suited to the cabinet’s storage conditions. Products must fit the temperature range, shelf dimensions, merchandising setup, and recognition requirements. For fresh food, unusual packaging, or visually similar products, validate the actual assortment and shelf layout before launch.

Can I change products or shelf layouts after launch?

Yes. Adjustable shelves help you adapt the assortment to each location. New SKUs, packaging changes, and revised shelf layouts need corresponding product and configuration updates, with recognition checks where required.

Can shoppers take multiple items or return products before checkout?

Yes. Shoppers can take multiple products and return items they decide against before closing the door. Once the door closes, the system creates the order and processes payment based on the final basket. Shoppers can adjust their selection during the same shopping session without scanning each item.

What happens if a shopper has a question about an order or charge?

Shoppers can scan the QR code to submit an order inquiry online. Operators can use the YEPZI Manager or YEPZI Cloud to find the relevant order, review the transaction, and follow up on the outcome. This provides a clear process from the initial inquiry through review and resolution.

Which payment methods are available in my market?

Payment availability depends on the destination market, terminal, and acquiring arrangement, and can include supported credit cards, debit cards, and mobile wallets. We confirm merchant onboarding requirements, settlement currency, payout arrangements, and processing fees for your deployment market. Share your country and payment requirements so we can identify the appropriate configuration.

What is a pre-authorization hold, and is it a second charge?

Where pre-authorization is used, a temporary hold is placed before shopping to validate payment availability. It is not an additional product charge. The final purchase amount is processed from the completed basket. The hold amount and the release of any unused authorization depend on the payment arrangement and issuing bank.

What happens if connectivity is lost or power fails during shopping?

Connectivity can be configured with cellular, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet, and recent transaction data is stored locally on the device. Stored transaction data is retained during a network interruption. When connectivity returns, orders are automatically uploaded for processing. If power fails while a shopper is using the cooler, the built-in backup power supply supports completion of the shopping session already in progress.

What support is available after delivery?

During the warranty period, product training, configuration assistance, and remote technical support are included at no additional charge. Our team helps you get started and address technical questions during day-to-day use. Paid on-site services can also be arranged according to your deployment location and service needs.

How do we explore a regional partnership?

Start by sharing your market, customer base, and team capabilities. An initial discussion focuses on fit, followed by an evaluation project, training needs, service responsibilities, and a growth plan where appropriate. Purchasing commitments and channel terms are defined around the agreed scope. The first step is to identify the right partner role and target market.

Can SenseUni upgrade an existing cooler with an AI Kit?

The SenseUni AI Kit is an integration option for compatible commercial cooler platforms. Suitability depends on cabinet and shelf geometry, door structure, mounting space, wiring, and payment requirements. Share the model, dimensions, and photos so we can assess the integration scope and validation approach. Some projects are better suited to integration during manufacturing.

Can YEPZI or the SenseUni AI Kit work with our existing systems?

We can explore integration with external payment and business systems, subject to interface and transaction-workflow assessment. Share your terminal, payment provider, management software, and required data flows. We distinguish existing validated connections from new development and agree on scope, costs, responsibilities, and timing before implementation.

How do I install the cooler and get ready to sell?

We provide installation and operating videos, manuals, and remote setup guidance at no additional charge to help you learn the product and complete its basic configuration. Paid on-site assistance can be arranged if needed. Once installation, product setup, and payment configuration are complete, and the location’s power and connectivity are ready, you can put the cooler into operation and start selling.

Can I sell fresh food, and how are temperature and shelf life managed?

Yes. Fresh food can be sold when it meets the cabinet’s storage temperature, packaging, and recognition requirements. We provide the smart cooler hardware, software, and temperature-management functions. Operators manage food selection, shelf-life checks, replenishment, day-to-day food handling, and procedures for exceptions. Refer to the relevant model and configuration for temperature ranges and available functions.

What can operators do with the Standard Media display?

The Standard Media has a 28.6-inch commercial advertising display; the standard Standard uses an advertising lightbox. Both share the same cabinet specifications, including capacity, dimensions and temperature range. Power is 405 W for Standard Media and 350 W for Standard. The Standard Media display can support product presentation, promotions, and branded content at locations where visibility matters. If you plan to sell advertising, consider audience reach, advertiser demand, content management, and venue terms. The display provides the medium; additional advertising income depends on the commercial arrangement you build around it.

How can I access my operating data?

Access the YEPZI Cloud through your browser or use the YEPZI Manager to view sales, orders, inventory, and device status across your locations. Both connect to the same operating platform, supporting fleet oversight at the office and replenishment and day-to-day operations in the field.

How should I evaluate revenue potential and payback?

Results depend on demand, basket value, product margins, and operating costs. A payback estimate should account for payment and platform charges, venue terms, route labor, electricity, spoilage, and maintenance as well as product cost. Use actual pilot data to build conservative, base, and upside scenarios before deciding on a wider rollout.
