IMAGING
We write the image pipeline ourselves, at the chip level.
Off-the-shelf camera pipelines are tuned to make people look good in photographs. A retail cabinet needs something else entirely: products that stay identifiable through glass, under LED strips, in cold air, at any hour of the day, on a machine nobody ever adjusts.
So the image signal processing is ours — developed at the embedded chipset level, alongside the firmware it runs on, and covered by our own patents and software copyrights.
This is the layer most companies in this category buy. It is also the layer that decides what a recognition engine ever gets to see.
